About Smoke Free Schools
Smoke free schools is a project undertaken by students, supported by the NHS.

The course consists of an assembly introducing the concept to the school or year group targeted.

Supporting materials and posters are provided. Once students have submitted their ideas online they have a week of filming including:

  • Discussions about the dangers of smoking and brainstorming ideas with an NHS official.
  • History of film - Planning story boards - Site visits - Filming and lighting - Editing
  • Then the students have a day in a professional recording studio including:
  • Setting up a microphone and mixing desk - history of chosen genre making backing tracks and performing
